How to Make Kratom Tea

Kratom Tea

The Mitragyna speciosa is a potent tree that grows naturally in several Southeast Asian countries, specifically Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar. The plant belongs to the coffee family, although it does not have caffeine and is much more powerful than coffee. Also called kratom, the Asian tree is most popularly known for its leaves, the kratom leaves. Kratom is marketed all over the world, including the United States, as a substitute for opium, organic pain reliever, and herbal cure against hypertension, diarrhea and depression.

The most common side effects users of the substance experience are mild to moderate constipation, temporary erectile dysfunction, nausea, vomiting, and sleep problems. On the other hand, extensive use of the herb can cause more serious side effects such as insomnia, dry mouth, anorexia, and weight loss.

Since kratom is considered by many as a dangerous drug, it is not widely available in the mainstream medicine market. It is sold in tobacco shops, head shops and online. Users of kratom chew the leaves, take it in capsule form or drink it as tea. Native users of kratom consumed the leaves in the jungles of Asia the same way. They crushed raw leaves to boil, chew or smoke. They consume kratom in order to strengthen themselves for the hunt. As they got home, they sipped another cup of kratom tea to renew their energy in order to enhance sexual activity.

Here are a few tips when preparing kratom tea. First, take 50 grams of dried kratom leaves and place them in a pot with 1 liter of water. Gently boil for 15 minutes. Strain the bowl and keep the liquid for some time. Squeeze the leaves to make sure all its contents are taken out.

Second, pour a second liter into the pot and boil the leaves a second time. Strain the boiled leaves again but this time, discard the leaves afterwards.

Third, mix the liquid from the first and second liters and boil yet again until the amount of liquid is reduced to only 100 ml or less if one wishes the tea to be more concentrated. The lesser the liquid, the more bitter it becomes. Drinkers are advised to gulp quickly or add slices of fruit to improve the taste. Some choose to add alcohol, not only to improve the taste but also to allow for longer preservation.

Discover why people are getting more and more into the kratom tea craze. Remember that the tea intake is dependent on the user’s own preferences.

The History of Kefir

Kefir is known under a variety of names, some of which are kefirs, keefir, kephor, talai, mudu kekiya, kewra, and bulgaros. Originally, kefir is fermented milk made of the exotic kefir grains. Kefir was believed to have originated from the Caucasus region’s mountainous areas.

Preparation for milk kefir begins with cows, goats, sheep, and other forms of cattle being vaccinated with the kefir grains. Other ways to make milk kefir is by hanging an animal skin bag behind one’s door to make sure that the grains become well mixed whenever someone has to open and close the door. One person of historical interest that is aware of kefir’s existence and use is Marco Polo.

The name kefir has been in existence since the 1880s in the Russian, Polish, and English language. Bacteria and yeast generally compose the majority of kefir’s structure. Proteins, lipids, and sugars are mixed as well with the bacteria and yeast, which will eventually form a structure similar to a cauliflower. Kefir grains also contain a high concentration of lactic acid bacteria. The water-soluble sugar called kefiran will leave a rough feeling in a person’s mouth. Kefir grains also range in color and size.

Kefir is generally composed of the following: lactic acid bacteria and yeasts, carbon dioxide and ethanol for fermentation purposes, milk proteins and polysaccharides for nutrition, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, D, K2, folic acid, nicotinic acid, calcium, iron, iodine, and water.

Chemical and concentration changes in kefir’s composition occur before, during, and after kefir fermentation. The type of milk that fermented the kefir will mainly define its composition, specifically the concentration levels of vitamin B12. Another change that occurs is in the lactic acid, which becomes that highest concentrated organic acid in the milk kefir.

The Kratom Effect on People

Kratom is a special kind of drug. It is a potent herb from Southeast Asia that can both stimulate (moderate dose) and sedate (high dose) its user. As a sedative, kratom is used to relax the muscles and relieve chronic pain. It fights depression by promoting calmness of mind and a general feeling of pleasure and dreamy comfort. It relieves both physical and emotional pain, promoting euphoria especially when a patient is made to lie down in a semi-darkened room while listening to music. This effect can last for about six hours.

Kratom is rich in alkaloids such as mytragynine, 7-hydroxymytragynine, and mytraphylline. Active chemicals that are also present in the plant are raubasine and yohimbe alkaloids like corinantheidine. Studies show that kratom also contains a calcium channel blocker, and that alkaloids present in it are detectable through immunological screenings.

As a stimulant, kratom causes a patient or user to be more talkative, alert, sociable, friendly, and physically strong. It raises energy and improves one’s ability to perform physical work. Some believe it can even improve one’s sexual appetite and performance.

The ability to relieve pain and promote a feeling of calmness is one of the reasons why kratom is surrounded by so much controversy. It is banned in several countries including where it came from, Thailand. Governments around the world categorize it as a harmful narcotic that is very similar to opium, morphine, cannabis, and magic mushroom, which is why its usage is regulated, if not banned.
There are two reasons why kratom is doing what it does. The first is because of its chemical contents. It is found to contain alkaloids that perform very similar to how opium and morphine perform. Its most prominent contents are the mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine alkaloids that are believed to be responsible for kratom’s ability to sedate people.

Second, it is a natural power-enhancer that has been used by Asian hunters in the past to boost their strength as they hunted for hours in the jungle. Local users have discovered the potent herb and consumed it to perform menial tasks and high-energy work.

While it does perform very similarly to opium and morphine, kratom is very beneficial to people. It has been observed to treat depression, diarrhea, hypertension, and diabetes, while promoting an over-all feeling of wellness.

Kratom is prohibited in some countries like Thailand, Burma, Denmark, and Finland, but is legal for use in many countries including the US. Although it is safe when taken in small doses, one must remain watchful with his consumption as taking kratom can be habit-forming. Withdrawal symptoms may be experienced if one quits abruptly.

Kratom Facts - Myths Vs Reality

People hearing about kratom for the first time may not really get what the product is really all about. Some might actually believe the myths that initially surrounded it. Kratom was believed to be unsafe, addictive, has no medical use, illegal, and is considered a possible substance abuse.

Now is the time to set the facts straight. Kratom is safe and medically-beneficial, also showing greater potential than some prescription drugs. Rumours about it being addictive, illegal, and a source of substance abuse are debunked by the Drug Enforcement Agency and the people who use it and can vouch for its safety.
